Nurses work with professionals in many other disciplines, especially in the care of older people. Promoting active and healthy ageing involves coordination with a variety of experts, such as general practitioners, gerontologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, podiatrists, optometrists, speech therapists and audiologists.
